If you use this on a public
If you use this on a public server the callback will inform JomSocial of your domain name. They can then verify you did not pay for the component and take legal proceedings against you if they wish. Better to null the code before usage in my opinion.
Does anyone here know how to
Does anyone here know how to Null this Extension! Would really like to learn how... Looking forward!
Honestly you can usually
Honestly you can usually null these apps yourself the trick is trying to find where they are located (which files or strings). The best place to start is usually anything having to do with version checks or updates.
In the end unless you have a decent amount of traffic (read money making traffic) they will most likely pay you no mind. I have had many apps such as vbulletin where I paid for a sub for awhile then stopped so it was essentially illegal to have it running. I used warez updates among other things to keep it going and never heard a peep. Granted these are on sites like gaming clans or guild pages or small personal pages. That's my experience so far with these pay to play apps.
Worst case scenario you get a warning I would wager so who cares.
